Allie runs toward the water at the flock of birds with her arms out yelling in joy and she turns around.

"Noah, come on!"

Allie faces the birds and yells again with her arms out. Noah runs to her, she then looks at Noah.

"Look at them!"

"What are we doing?"

"Do you think in another life, I could have been a bird?"

As Allie looks at Noah, he smiles.

"What do you mean?"

"Like reincarnation."

"I don't know."

"I think I could."

Jack and Rose drift under the blazing stars. The water is glassy, with only the faintest undulating swell. Rose can actually see the stars reflecting on the black mirror of the sea. Jack squeezes the water out of her long coat, tucking it in tightly around her legs. He rubs her arms. His face is chalk with in the darkness. A low moaning in the darkness around them.

"It's getting quiet."

"Just a few more minutes. It'll take them a while to get the boats organized..."

Rose is still, just staring into space. She knows the truth. There won't be any boats. Behind Jack she sees that Officer Wilde has stopped moving. He is slumped in his lifejacket, looking almost asleep. He has died of exposure already.

"I don't know about you, but I intend to write a strongly worded letter to the White Star Line about all this."

She laughs weakly, but it sounds like a gasp of fear. Rose finds his eyes in the dim light.

"I love you Jack."

He takes her hand.

"No... don't say your good-byes, Rose. Don't you give up. Don't do it."

"I have failed you, Anakin. I was never able to teach you to think."

Anakin and Obi-Wan confront each other on the lava river.

"I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over..."

"From the Sith!!! Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil."

"From the Jedi point of view! From my point of view, the Jedi are evil."

"Well, then you are lost!"

"This is the end for you, My Master. I wish it were otherwise."

Anakin jumps and flips onto Obi-Wan's platform. The fighting continues again until Obi-Wan jumps toward the safety of the black sandy edge of the lava river. He yells at Anakin.

"It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground."

"You underestimate my power!"

"Don't try it."

Allie driving her car near misses colliding head on into a dump truck, swerves off and stops at the side of the road. She picks up Noah's stack of letters, takes the last one out, opens it and reads:

"My dearest Allie, I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us."

Allie putting her hand over her mouth, begins to cry.

"I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real."

Scene cuts to Allie driving with sadness filled in her eyes as Noah's voice continues:

"And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent a summer beneath the trees learning from each other and growing in love."

Allie pulls up and parks at the hotel her FiancĂ© is staying at, trying to wipe away her tears. Noah's voice continues on:

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds."

Allie starts to fix her hair with a hair pin.

"Have people from your world been here before?"

"Before yes. We are interested in your species."

"You mean you're some kind of anthropologist? Is that what you're doing here? Just checking us out?"

"You are a strange species. Not like any other. And you'd be surprised how many there are. Intelligent but savage. Shall I tell you what I find beautiful about you?"

Shermin nods.

"You are at your very best when things are worst."

"Well..."

"I must go."

Jenny nods.

"What do I do now?"

"You say you love me and kiss me 'goodbye.'"

The Star Man puts his arms around her and holds her tight.

"I love you."

"(her head on his shoulder) I'm never going to see you again, am I?"

"No."

He kisses the tears out of her eyes, then full on the mouth.

"I love you."

The Star Man steps back and places a hand on Jenny's stomach.

"Tell the baby about me."

"I will."

"Goodbye."
